Book Design - Frankenstein

Project Overview & Inspiration
This project is based on Frankenstein, the story of a scientist who attempts to create life artificially. However, the creature he brings to life is met with rejection and discrimination, leading it to seek revenge against both humanity and its creator. Their conflict ultimately ends in tragedy, with both characters meeting their demise.
The purpose of this project is to explore and visualize the themes of the story through line-based illustration. The lines in this design represent both the stitches used to construct the creature and the individual timelines of each character. As the narrative progresses, these lines intersect, tangle, and evolve, reflecting the growing tension between creator and creation.
In the final stage, all lines converge and gradually disappear, symbolizing the inevitable and sorrowful ending of the story.

This is the inside illustration page of my book, following my main concept that I try to use the blue and red colors to express the two main characters. Also, my illustration style is line-drawing, which I use the line to reveal their emotions and story theme.
